The ADCKC’s Paracanoe Introductory Program is a chance for athletes with physical disabilities to participate in one of Atlantic Canada’s best water sports.

The Paracanoe Introductory Program provides three to four staff with decades of combined paddling experience to facilitate the weekly programming. The weekly schedule is organized into ‘Try-It’ blocks organized as follows:

  • July 5th - 21st: Monday & Wednesday 5-7pm

  • July 26th - Aug 11th: Monday & Wednesday 5-7pm

  • Aug 16th - Sept 1st: Monday & Wednesday 5-7pm

  • Sept 6th - Sept 22nd: Monday & Wednesday 5-7pm

Athletes in the program will learn to gain their balance, use proper technique, and build a foundation for success in the Paracanoe environment.

The Atlantic Division of CanoeKayak Canada actively works to increase Paracanoe representation within the club system in partnership with sport leaders.
