Membership Fees – Purpose and Administration
ADCKC membership fees support Province and Division-wide programs and services that benefit athletes, coaches, clubs, and the paddling community. Fees are set annually through ADCKC’s budget and governance process, based on program delivery needs, insurance, Safe Sport requirements, and administrative operations. ADCKC uses the Nova Scotia Consumer Price Index as a benchmark for prospective increases. Membership fees are administered directly by ADCKC through the RAMP registration system to ensure consistency, transparency, and accuracy. In the past, clubs collected fees at the start of the season on ADCKC’s behalf; direct administration helps streamline the process while maintaining a clear and consistent approach across all clubs. Clubs continue to play an important role in supporting member registration and communication, while ADCKC remains responsible for setting and managing membership fees.
