Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday! A weekly instalment that gives you a blast from the past.

For the first throwback Thursday, we look at the iconic David Jones Starting Tower in 1989!

“If you have been questioning the unusual structure protruding from Lake Banook, You can now put your mind at ease. The three-level fixture is one of the world’s most efficient, and Dartmouth’s newest, compliment to canoe racing. The recently erected judge’s stand will be available for races this season. And in August, the facility will become fully utilized when this year’s Canadian Canoe Championships are held on the lake.”
